I have experienced some fabulous effing moments in life, but yesterday was the best day I have ever had.
At 4:00 the firm threw a cocktail party, complete with one of my favorite libations – Aperol Spritzes. A dearly-loved client and colleagues who have become cherished friends dropped in for the festivities.
Then it was off to one of my favorite watering holes, where 25 or so friends from all corners of my life came to wish me bon chance and bon voyage.
The outpouring of love and affection I felt yesterday was humbling. I grinned so much that my face hurts today.
What an amazing way to kick off this next phase of my life.
