The RV park at the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds is about as utilitarian as you can get. It is basically a big parking lot. No trees, and thus no shade. There were some picnic tables, but not at every site. For a full hook up at $40 per night it is no real bargain, but it is the only game in town if you want to be in Milwaukee. It is about a five-minute drive to Miller Park, and 10 minutes to downtown.
There are bathrooms and laundry facilities on site, although I did not visit them. There are dumpsters peppered throughout the area. They have dog refuse bags and trash cans in the grassy areas.
Even though the park is right off I-94, there is very little road noise. Milwaukee has done a good job of putting up noise cancellation barriers all along their freeways.
My biggest complaint about the park is the hook ups. Someone in his or her infinite wisdom decided to put the electric and water on one side and the sewer on the other. So, no matter whether you pull in or back in, one of your connections is going to be on the opposite side.
